Exotic food

Many Europeans visit exotic Asian countries and taste exotic Asian food. All these roasted cockroaches and grasshoppers, raw octopuses and snakes are unbearable to vulnerable Europeans. They are frustrated when they see these wonderful dishes. Tourists experience culture shock when they see all this but when they at last have a courage to taste these foodstuffs, they discover a new world of food and realize that they are totally ignorant about tasty meals. Let's consider this topic open-mindedly. All our life is determined by different stereotypes. These stereotypes go off everywhere and almost in each situation. This is also true about food. We are so strongly accustomed to what we eat that when we see other people eating something unusual to us, we experience disgust in the majority of cases. When we see another person eating something unpleasant but familiar to us, we don't see anything abnormal in it, because we have seen these dishes for thousands of times before and our eyes have got into the way of looking at them. But when it goes about snakes and something else of this kind, we lose appetite at once. Let's be fair and not be sanctimonious. Imagine a vegetarian watching our eating meat. Try to imagine his/her feelings. It will look abominably to this person. It will be especially disgusting for this person if he/she sees this show for the first time in his/her life. This person also lives according to the stereotype, that it is savage to eat animals. That is why when you make a tour to some Asian country, be open-minded and don't dash aside from exotic food. Taste it and then make you conclusion. Maybe it is your only chance to taste these dishes. Have a nice tour!
